Images & Words ----- Calling Me Back (Week 7)

Welcome back to a new week of Images and Words... I chose Calling Me Back as our topic. In this world there are so many places, and faces that keep calling us back over and over again. Sometimes even hauntingly. Well here is your chance to share that special place or face. This shot is from my hometown of Erie, PA. This was taken on one of those quiet mornings where it seemed like I was on a deserted island by myself. People in Erie aren't early risers I guess.

The Rules:
Each week we will post an original photo with words on it.
The idea behind this group is to expand our minds through our photography.
Photos must be your own, but the words can be someone else's as long as credit is given after the words.
Your post can either be serious, or if you'd like comical, but never obscene .
Posts can either have one word on them, quotes, or full poems ... Your choice.
All posts are to be done on your own site in a blog form with a link back to it being left here.
New topics will be posted on Sundays.
Posts can be made through Saturday.
One post per person only please.

I will be going away to the beach tomorrow...anyone who visits me after that, I will come visit your entry when I return Thursday.

My entry is a Haiku with a lot of S words *grin* and something that as you say hauntingly calls me back

  6. What a beautiful sea scape. That's a place that would be wonderful to come back to time and time again. The words paint an even move beautiful image with thoughts and feelings.

  10. Beautiful photo and wonderful words!

This was easy for me because "Calling me back" is a connotation of one of the possible translations of "Napa", as in Napa Valley, California.

  13. ****News FLASH****
Today I celebrate another "grand senior moment day." I participated in today's challenge ( 1st time) and thinking it was something else.....and not reading the RULES.....I wrote a poem and posted a pic. Since I had NOT read the rules, the PHOTO was from THE WEB!! ( yep egg all over my face and slobber running down my chin) BUT.was truly a silly mistake...........PLEASE FORGIVE MY IGNORANCE!

This photo is one of the favs I have seen today. Pristeen beauty. Not sure if the words compliment the photo or other way around, nonetheless, a beautiful package.

  14. Everyone is entitled to one mistake at least in this life. Since it was your first time participating and the person you got the idea from did not post the rules with her entry(Namely me) I do not see why you can not be forgiven and Hey at least you know for next week.

  18. this is my first attempt, also...I haven't quite got the hang of adding script. I'm using Jasc 9. The original photo can be viewed in my Bailey-Tebault house album. I lived next door to this house as a child, and it was used then, as a funeral home. It always had a spooky air about it.Just look at it now!

    The poetry is mine, also.
