Images and Words ~ Week 12 ~ Trees

It is the middle of Winter down here in South  Australia and this week we have the sure signs that our Spring is not too far away with the bursts of blossoms on the Almond Trees around the district. The local area even has an annual Almond Blossom Festival which is now into it's fortieth year.

Although Almond Groves are scarce around here nowadays, due to much clearing to make room for grapevines which have been planted in their place, it is at this time of the year the Almond Trees come out in full view for all to see, as the blossoms make a spectacularly beautiful show..

Almond Blossom represents Hope and Watchfulness.

Have fun with this theme and post in your own convenience.

Cheers From Milli

The Rules:
Each week we will post an original photo with words on it.
The idea behind this group is to expand our minds through our photography.
Photos must be your own, but the words can be someone else's as long as credit is given after the words.
Your post can either be serious, or if you'd like comical, but never obscene .
Posts can either have one word on them, quotes, or full poems ... Your choice.
All posts are to be done on your own site in a blog form with a link back to it being left here.
New topics will be posted on Sundays.
Posts can be made through Saturday.

  12. Great Heidi because trees are such a magnificent subject no matter what their size or shape. They make such a great study for a photographer's lens.

  15. Beautiful almond blossoms!

I have a wonderful poem by son about trees that I want to use, and at first he said I could use it but then he said I can't, so let me go work on him. I'll be back later with my entry, either his poem or another one.

  17. Here's mine. My son would only let me credit him as "My Son" rather than by name, but it's still special for me.
