Images and Words Week 41: Love and Romance

Greetings and welcome to my first ever time hostessing Images and Words!  I am thrilled that I get to do Valentine's Day because I really wanted to use this image, some of you have seen it before but I've never actually used it for an entry.

Cooking is like love

I shot this photo of our now former Executive Chef about a year ago.  A few months back I came across this quote and thought it would pair perfectly with this image.  I gave a copy of this file to Chef for Christmas and he absolutely loved it!  He hugged me and said, "You made me into an inspirational poster!"  I suppose it was too inspirational because shortly thereafter he left us to start his own Personal Chef and Catering business, d'oh!  We have a new Executive Chef who is wonderful and I wish our former chef well, I've even offered to shoot publicity photos for him.

I hope you will have fun with the theme of Love and Romance.

---Amy

Each week we will post an original photo with words on it. The idea behind this group is to expand our minds through our photography.

Photos must be your own, but the words can be someone else's as long as credit is given after the words.

Your post can either be serious, or if you'd like comical, but never obscene .

Posts can either have one word on them, quotes, or full poems ... Your choice.

All posts are to be done on your own site in a blog form with a link back to it being left here (I've created a button link which you are welcome to use).

New topics will be posted on Sundays.

Posts can be made through Saturday.

One post per person only please.

  1. Welcome Amy. It is, A Day for lovers here today.
Your first I&W fits the chosen theme beautifully. Amy the image is excellent and a treat for the eyes to see. The words are the icing on the cake so to speak and together they make for a wonderful combination.
    I will return.

  5. A perfect combination, Amy and a wonderful theme. Boy, being single I'm going to have a tough time of the romance part. (big sigh) lol, all of the groups have been like this, for Valentine's Day. I'm glad you made it about love, too...not just romance.

  12. D'oh! I added the "Romance" hoping that people who are single could use something Romantic if they don't particularly feel like Love. I was hoping that "Romance" would make it a broader theme. Oh well, hopefully between the two, people were able to come up with something.

  14. lol, It's a great theme, Amy. I managed to come up with one romantic scene.

Like Dana, I have no problem with being single. I've learned to be content in any situation...a good place to be, but you can't help but wish for a little romance in your life, especially on Valentine's Day. :P

  15. Hehe, yeah. I took several photos but we chose this one because the flame looks almost like a monster's face. Chef is taming the flame to create something yummy!

  18. As my quote says, "It should entered into with abandon or not at all" and there's a lot to be said about having the good sense to choose 'not at all.' I would much rather be single than be in a bad relationship.
