Images and Words Week 49: Food and Drink

Greetings from Amy and welcome to this week's Images and Words!  Sometimes when Admins give the theme of "Free Choice" or "Personal Choice" they phrase it as, "Pot Luck."  I thought it would be cool if we had big international virtual pot luck!  Here's my contribution:
I came across this Italian proverb awhile back and ever since I've been trying to get a good photo of risotto, but unfortunately risotto isn't a very photogenic dish.  Then a few weeks ago my son "interned" for a day in our restaurant's kitchen, and he said that they put wine in the suppli--and suppli is photogenic!  Suppli is aged fontina stuffed risotto cakes, gently fried and presented with marinara & basil oil.
If you don't have a lot of food and drink photos then I'd like to suggest vegetable or herb gardens, farms or orchards, insects feeding on flowers, or even feeding time at the zoo.  I feel this theme has a lot of possibilities and I hope you will have fun with it!
Each week we will post an original photo with words on it. The idea behind this group is to expand our minds through our photography.

Photos must be your own, but the words can be someone else's as long as credit is given after the words.

Your post can either be serious, or if you'd like comical, but never obscene .

Posts can either have one word on them, quotes, or full poems ... Your choice.

All posts are to be done on your own site in a blog form with a link back to it being left here (I've created a button link which you are welcome to use).

New topics will be posted on Sundays.

Posts can be made through Saturday.

One post per person only please.

  13. Oh! And I forgot to mention that I've used this Images and Words on our restaurant's Facebook Fan Page. In fact, I've made several images with words for the express purpose of using them on the Fan Page--like a cool photo of my hubby's guitar to announce live music at the restaurant, grape vines to announce our Winemaker Dinners, and various other I&W to announce special events and holiday menus. So thank you, Joel, creating this group which encouraged me to develop this skill which I've put to good use!
