Images & Words # 74 ~ Take a Hike

Hey yall, this is Lanie, and I'm really really excited to be your guest host this week. Ever since Joel asked me a few weeks ago, I've been tossing ideas around in my head. I narrowed it down to two, and then, because not everyone gets up at the crack of dawn like I do, I ditched "Early Morning" for a theme and went with something I'm sure we've all done in search of that perfect pic, Take a Hike. So, show us what ya got when you were out taking that hike....

The Rules of Images & Words

Each week we will post an original photo with words on it. The idea behind this group is to expand our minds through our photography.

Photos must be your own, but the words can be someone else's as long as credit is given after the words.

Your post can either be serious, or if you'd like comical, but never obscene .

Posts can either have one word on them, quotes, or full poems ... Your choice.

All posts are to be done on your own site in a blog form with a link back to it being left here.

New topics will be posted on Sundays.

Posts can be made through Saturday.

One post per person only please.

And here's mine, yep, it was taken on a camping trip. Thanks, everyone, for having me.

Here's something I love... but it was taken this past winter. Not exactly fresh but no one has seen it.

  19. This shot was taken is a little bitty town called Hodgen, in SE Oklahoma almost on the Arkansas state line. We were camped at a place called Cedar Lake. It's the most beautiful place we've ever camped. It's five hours away so we don't get to go that often.

  21. This is a wonderful theme and I have an image and a quote in mind, but due to extreme family obligations I probably won't be able to participate for a few days. My mom and sister are coming to visit later in the week and we MUST clean the house! Plus my kids have parent-teacher conferences and so on and so forth. But I'm really looking forward to participating because, as I said, it's such a wonderful theme :-)
