Images & Words Week # 117 ~ Beat The Heat!

Hi Images & Words! I'm Debby. I think most of you know me already, If not , feel free to add me to your friends list so we can get to know each other. I'm honored to be hosting the group this morning and I hope you enjoy the theme!

With much of the US being under a heat dome, I've chosen "Beat The Heat" as the theme for this week. Of course there are those of you who aren't experiencing these extreme conditions, so you might like to consider doing Hot or Cold for the challenge. Photos of icebergs welcome, as well as tall, cool glasses of ice tea! I hope all of you stay cool and well hydrated during these hot, hot days.

The Rules:

Each week we will post an original photo with words on it.

The idea behind this group is to expand our minds through our photography.

Your post can either be serious, or if you'd like comical, but never obscene .

Posts can either have one word on them, quotes, or full poems ... Your choice.

All posts are to be done on your own site in a blog form with a link back to it being left here.

New topics will be posted on Sundays.Posts can be made through Saturday.

One post per person only please.

LOL...No snow here Except on the rare occasion it falls on MT Lofty and up in the hills. The snow if it does fall will only last a few hours as this is a very moderate climate here Linda. As for the sea too cold for swimming now but good in about November and excellent in January.

  6. I'm loving the entries this morning. We'll have temps up in the triple digits this week in SC, so I'll be revisiting these very cool (ing) photos for a little relief. I'm off to church now but I'll be back around lunch time to view more. Thanks all of you, for participating.

  8. Steven Wright, for those unfamiliar with his work, is a standup comedian specializing in acerbic one-liners.

Bet the mom in your photo, Debs, is a dancer. And bet the little girl on the right is KK.

  10. Thanks, Leon!

You're probably right about the girl. Yes, that's KK on the right and Sara in the green.

In case my I&W friends are wondering who this stranger is in our midst, Leon is the love of my life and poet extraordinaire.

  14. yes, thank you, Weenie. I did notice the new banner, but failed to mention it. It is wonderful, Belita! It has a contemplative feel to it, like the man is lost in deep thought. I love the colors, has a contemporary look and feel to it.
