Images & Words #138 - Happy Holidays!

Welcome back to week #138 and it is time for me Mia to host again.

This week I chose Happy Holidays as our topic. Thought it would suit everyone hopefully. Since I have some very busy days coming up, and still slaving away in Santa's workshop, I'm posting this early as I guess the same goes for must of us.. Christmas means the joy of giving, good eating, and having fun catching up with family and friends but first of all the remebrance of our True Self represented
by the birth of Christ..

Speaking for all the administrators here...Joel, Milli, Amy and myself..... Thank you all for being part of our lovely family here at Images and Words, and we wish you all Happy Holidays and a wonderful New Year!

The Rules:

Each week we will post an original photo with words on it. The idea behind this group is to expand our minds through our photography.

Photos must be your own, but the words can be someone else's as long as credit is given after the words.

Your post can either be serious, or if you'd like comical, but never obscene .

Posts can either have one word on them, quotes, or full poems ... Your choice.

All posts are to be done on your own site in a blog form with a link back to it being left here.

New topics will be posted on Sundays.

Posts can be made through Saturday.

One post per person only please.

Remember that you have longer than usual to post this, so no rush at all,
just have fun!

Blessings
Mia

  9. Thanks friends for putting up with me and posting early! Here's something amazing that I'd love to share with you

I had to add this as I just got it in the mail and is a fantastic look of the Sistine Chapel from the inside. Thought it would go well with our theme today.

MOVE THE MOUSE AROUND AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS.
Here is an amazing bit of technology that you would never see in person, as you would NEVER be alone in the room. It is ALWAYS VERY CROWDED and of course you can't see Michelangelo's artwork close up as you can here. This is especially spectacular if you have a large high-definition screen! Too many details to view on an iPhone.

TO VIEW EVERY PART OF THE MICHELANGELO'S MASTERPIECE, JUST CLICK AND DRAG YOUR ARROW IN THE DIRECTION YOU WISH TO SEE.
In the lower left, click on the plus (+) to move closer, on the minus (-) to move away. Choir is thrown in free.

MOVE THE ARROW AND YOU WILL SEE EVERY PART OF THE CHAPEL.
This virtual tour of the Sistine Chapel is incredible. Apparently done by Villanova at the request of the Vatican .
