Images & Words Week 185 - Arts & Craft

Greetings from Sweden!

Since time immemorial Man has been working with the hands to while away the hours when sitting byt the fire in the cave or cottage. The stitching together of pieces of skin, carving wooden idols and eating utensils and bowls of wood and ceramics were probably among the first examples of handicraft. Then came metal, real textiles and glas. Now a substantial number of people all over the world is engaged in the various forms of handicraft. I find it wonderful that this kind of thing is still alive in the cultures of world and that it hasn't died away due to the relentless pursuit by man of things digital . Hope this will prove to be a enjoyable challenge for you, my dear IAWers. Looking forward to seeing your entries. Enjoy!

The Rules:

Each week we will post an original photo with words on it. The idea behind this group is to expand our minds through our photography.

Photos must be your own, but the words can be someone else's as long as credit is given after the words.

Your post can either be serious, or if you'd like comical, but never obscene .

Posts can either have one word on them, quotes, or full poems ... Your choice.

All posts are to be done on your own site in a blog form with a link back to it being left here.

New topics will be posted on Sundays.

Posts can be made through Saturday.

One post per person only please
