Images & Words #208 - Summer and Winter vacations

This is Sue hosting this week. I have chosen vacations.. I am sure most of you have taken some awesome vacations this year and have great shots to prove it?
I am looking forward to seeing what you all come up with.
I just returned from Hawaii so I quess that inspired me to do this theme.
My photo was taken in my friends front yard at their summer - winter home in Kehii, Maui.

    Sue this is a great theme for this week I had a hard time deciding which vacation & which picture to post.
    Your picture is beautiful & gives me such a relaxing feeling. Yes the beach is full of healings.

    Good choice of theme, Sue! I have no doubt....I would have excellent vacations if they were spent surrounded by that beautiful and relaxing scenery...

    Unfortunately I won't be participating this week.....it's over 30 years since I've had what could be called a wvacation or even weekend getaway!

    Great theme, Sue, but I cannot remember when last I had a vacation.

    I am taking a mini -break this week, with my bestest friendly, just a couple of days of girlie road trip.

    Maybe will have some shots when back. *smile*

    Was in Maui in 1999 on a business trip, you know it takes 36 hours of travelling from Johannesburg? Never again! Our beaches are just as nice and warm and sunny and much closer to home and cheaper.

    I was surprised at the poverty and unfriendliness of the natives, though. Has it changed????

      Thats a lot of miles to fly. I think the Natives are very nice considering the rich people and Japanese have taken over
      their lands..

    A Winter Home in Hawaii? - that would suit me, as well as Summer and the rest. Great photo.
    Here is mine. The photo was taken by my husband, but I had to prove I was there. We went on hiking holidays for many years when the boys were still at school. I do not think I could do it today.

    Is anyone else finding blogger very slow? If not responding at all?
    I comment and my little timers just spins I never know if it took my comment or not?
    I head they are changing over to different format.

      be on muzenews too because I can stay in contact with friends better.
