Welcome back to another week of  Images & Words. This week I chose as our topic I Am Haunted By Waters. Like Milli's banner above we all seem to be drawn to water be it an ocean...lake.. or stream side for me. The solace that it brings us can't be matched by anything else. The title of this weeks topic is from a quote by Norman Maclean's book A River Runs Through It. A favorite book,movie and quote of mine because it shows us how much more the waters that run through our lives mean when you look a little deeper. Enough rambling let the Magic of your waters grace us today.

Welcome back to another week of Images & Words.Good to be back, this weeks topic is Breathe. Inspired again by a Pink Floyd song from Dark Side Of The Moon.Which is of course playing in the background as I type this blog. I told my daughter the other day listening to Dark Side Of The Moon is like visiting an old friend. I am sure we all have music that we never tire of this is one of many for me. This song says it all for me. I know there are days in all our lives when we just need to escape the day and just Breathe it in. Hope this isn't a tough  topic if it is just sit back and Breathe. Images & Words - Serenity # 68

Welcome back to another week of Images & Words.Good to be back, it has been a very fulfilling but hectic summer here so far. My apologies for not being around much at all lately. Last week at this time I was back in my hometown of Erie PA. I got to walk along the beach one morning at 6 am to watch the sunrise and enjoy the beach before anyone else got there. This to me is what heaven must feel like such a serene and calming feeling where nothing else matters and all thoughts are clear. I was wishing I could bottle up those feeling and break them open when needed so I did with my camera. Please post a picture of that spot for you where you can sit and just vegetate from the rest of the world,the place your mind goes when it needs a break.I hope you enjoy my piece of Heaven here on Earth.

While we were hiking back to one of the bridges we came across this old outdoor church. While having an eerie feel to it ,for some reason it also felt calming too.

Welcome back I asked Mia to switch weeks with me since I will be out of town next weekend. I thought we would do a Pot Luck theme this week. My shot was taken this past Thursday in Pittsburgh PA. I am always fascinated by ivy on buildings  and especially on windows. This was the apartment building next to my son's about 1/2 the windows were covered completely. I would have loved to seen the light filtering into the windows from the other side. I however didn't have the nerve to knock and ask. The quote I chose was from Lady Bird Johnson and has always been a favorite of mine.

My shot is from back on 10-25-09 and from my favorite asylum the Trans Allegheny Lunatic Asylum which dates back to before the Civil War.  Back when it was politically correct to say lunatic. The building is incredible even though it is filled with sorrow, and one of my favorite places to visit and photo.
