Images & Words #34- Celebrations

Hi Friends,

Mia here hosting for Week 34 of Images & Words. This week, since we are in the middle of Holidays and Celebrations, what better theme could there be than "CELEBRATIONS"? (thanks Joel!!)

My youngest son has his Birthday on Xmas Day and this year he turned 25. I chose a snap I took this Xmas Day of him getting his Pavlova cake with all the candles, which my ex is serving up, while his brother and their girl friends are watching.

YOU CAN HAVE YOUR CAKE AND EAT IT TOO! -
JUST BLOW OUT THE CANDLES FIRST!!!

So the theme is CELEBRATIONS and here are the rules
Rules of the site:Each week we will post an original photo with words on it. The idea behind this group is to expand our minds through our photography. Photos must be your own, but the words can be someone else's as long as credit is given after the words. Your post can either be serious, or if you'd like comical, but never obscene.Posts can either have one word on them, quotes, or full poems ... Your choice. All posts are to be done on your own site in a blog form with a link back to it being left here. New topics will be posted on Sundays. Posts can be made through Saturday. One post per person only please. Please remember to post a decent sized picture and if the words aren't easy to read, just type them underneath your photo. Drop your links here in the comment section please and also when you visit someone else's entry.

Blessings and have funMia

  6. That's a sweet photo, Mia... and very handsome young men! I love the pale peachy glow that the candles give off.

  7. How wonderful! My youngest just turned 10 over the holiday, our little boys aren't so little any more! I have a lot of photos that I can choose for this theme, so I'll be back after I choose one.

  8. A truly wonderful picture. We had our usual Christmas lunch at my uncles where it pretty much rained food and drink. We were quite full when we left - only to go Christmas dinner at a cousin of mum.s

  9. Great shot! Reminds me of my kids (two sons ages 27 & 23) relaxed at home, sprawled out, enjoying the family time. I notice your kids don't necessarily dress like it's winter. I've seen mine go out in the snow in flip flops. This shot really brings smiles.
