Image & Words --- My Favorite Things (Week 39)

Welcome back to week thirty nine and it is time for me to host again. This week I chose My Favorite Things as our topic .My shot is from last Wednesday at the old Hughes covered bridge in Washington PA.

The Rules:

Each week we will post an original photo with words on it. The idea behind this group is to expand our minds through our photography.

Photos must be your own, but the words can be someone else's as long as credit is given after the words.

Your post can either be serious, or if you'd like comical, but never obscene .

Posts can either have one word on them, quotes, or full poems ... Your choice.

All posts are to be done on your own site in a blog form with a link back to it being left here.

New topics will be posted on Sundays.

Posts can be made through Saturday.

One post per person only please.

  3. Hi Joel, glad to see you. I was beginning to suffer I&W withdrawals! I'll be back!

I love the bridge...beautiful photo! The words made me think of the song "My favorite things" lol, did you do that intentionally?

  4. Yes for some reason the song popped in my head, me and my kids were just talking about this the other day. It was one of their favorite movies when they were young.

  5. When my mom and sister were visiting 18 months ago I photographed some roses in the rain, and then later I photographed Casey who was still a kitten. As I was going through my photos for the day with my sister she said, "Hey! Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens!" But since I haven't attempted to do photo merges yet, and I'm not feeling well enough to try to figure it out today, I'll do something else for this week.

  12. That is the most beautiful covered bridge! I wonder what makes them stand out for us. They're kind of like lighthouses in that regard, don't you think?

  18. Joel Your Theme and your photo with words this week is excellent. Red is a favourite colour of mine and on a grey bridge with grey all around the red structure over the bridge, does stand out like a beacon indeed.
The video with the song is new to me but it truly is beautiful and I have a video with mine this week for a change.
