Images & Words #86- Favorite I&W Theme

Welcome to Images & Words for Christmas Week, Mia here.

I'm sorry I haven't been around
for the last couple of times as way too busy here with another house shift and
celebrating Xmas with friends and family. I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and wish you a Happy 2011. On behalf of the admins we thank you for your participation in 2010 and it was a joy and privilege to share with you all.

For this weekend's theme I had a chat
with Milli and she suggested we do your "Favorite I&W theme for 2010." So you
look back over the year and pick the theme you loved the most and then choose
a new image for it. Milli also offered to do an album or a slide show from your entries, so please let us know if you don't want your image to be part of that. Thanks Milli! You can see the old I&W posts by clicking on the blog roll on the Home page.

I've picked Joel's theme for week #65 "Antiques and All Things Old", as I love
photographing old cars and things, but never got the chance to post to this one.
So here is a photo I took today in a friends back yard. Hope you enjoy Bugsie lol

Asked a girl what she wanted to be
She said baby, can't you see
I wanna be famous, a star on the screen
But you can do something in between

Baby you can drive my car

Yes I'm gonna be a star
Baby you can drive my car
And maybe I'll love you

I told that girl that my prospects were good

she said baby, it's understood
Working for peanuts is all very fine
But I can show you a better time

Baby you can drive my car

Yes I'm gonna be a star
Baby you can drive my car
And maybe I'll love you

Beep beep'm beep beep yeah

Baby you can drive my car

Yes I'm gonna be a star
Baby you can drive my car
And maybe I'll love you

I told that girl I can start right away

When she said listen babe I got something to say
I got no car and it's breaking my heart
But I've found a driver and that's a start

Baby you can drive my car

Yes I'm gonna be a star
Baby you can drive my car
And maybe I'll love you
Beep beep'm beep beep yeah
Beep beep'm beep beep yeah
Beep beep'm beep beep yeah
Beep beep'm beep beep yeah
Beep beep'm beep beep yeah

Now for the Rules:

The Rules:

Each week we will post an original photo with words on it. The idea behind this group is to expand our minds through our photography.

Photos must be your own, but the words can be someone else's as long as credit is given after the words.

Your post can either be serious, or if you'd like comical, but never obscene .

Posts can either have one word on them, quotes, or full poems ... Your choice.

All posts are to be done on your own site in a blog form with a link back to it being left here.

New topics will be posted on Sundays.

Posts can be made through Saturday.

One post per person only please.

Can't wait to see your posts,

Blessings for the New Year!!!
Mia

We left half of everything in the old house in the first shift

  6. Dana, if you on Panorama Inbox, if you click on I&W there you can see all the themes there.
If not, the best thing I guess is to click on the home page and scroll through there...
Sorry, we haven't had time to do a list... If someone wants to volunteer..... lol

Even though it was to come up with a new banner for the group, it brought out a lot of great works from everyone. Just my take on it.

I would Like to say "Thank You " For His time and Service for our country.
A mere "Thank You" Seems so small for all he has done, but it comes from my heart
Smiles to You and I'm sure You will Have a Happy New Year~!!

  40. What a Nice "Beetle Bug". Looks like it is still in good shape.
I remember these Beetle Bugs really well. They always needed serviceing
and you could only take them to a dealer that sold 'em.
The only thing good about them was the low gas mileage.
    I Love the Beatles Song.

  43. Bugsie is too cute. Always wanted a red one. Mine was green, a company car, in the year 1979. Hillbrow, Johannesburg. Wanted to keep that car so badly for maybe a child one day, landed up with replacement of first out the box in SA, a VW City Golf, yellow in 1981.Oh my those old cars , if they could talk. *grins* then again, maybe not !
    Back now now with mine.
