Welcome back to week forty three and it is time for me to host again. I switched weeks with Mia so she could enjoy some well deserved family time. This week I chose Birds Of A Feather as our topic .My shot is from last Tuesday at the National Aviary in Pittsburgh. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit but wished I could have opened all the cages, and let them all loose.
The Rules:
Each week we will post an original photo with words on it. The idea behind this group is to expand our minds through our photography.
Photos must be your own, but the words can be someone else's as long as credit is given after the words.
Your post can either be serious, or if you'd like comical, but never obscene .
Posts can either have one word on them, quotes, or full poems ... Your choice.
All posts are to be done on your own site in a blog form with a link back to it being left here.
New topics will be posted on Sundays.
Posts can be made through Saturday.
One post per person only please.
Joel, this is an amazing shot. Very well done. Hopefully, I;ll have time to play this week....
ReplyDeleteThanks Linda... Hope you get time ..We miss you !!!
ReplyDeleteWonderful photo!
ReplyDeleteHmmm, which photo will I chose? I'll have to sleep on it and post something in the morning. I hope to have wonderful dreams about lovely birds :-)
Thanks Amy... I can't wait to see what you and the sandman come up with...
ReplyDeleteOh, sad quote, Joel. You made me think of "The Bird Man from Alcatraz,"
ReplyDeleteThis little beauty looks sooooo unhappy! Intriguing shot!
This makes me want to cry but then again I have some stories about our little feathered friend we named Otis. We'd let Otis out of his cage, he'd fly back to his cage and try to shut the door.
ReplyDeleteJoel this is beautiful in it's own right
I'm sorry to my friends who saw this photo when I posted it two weekends ago on my blog but... well hey it's the most recent bird that I caught looking for the neighbors damn 4 barking chihuahuas

ReplyDeletehttp://360slim.multiply.com/journal/item/201/Images_Words_Week_43_Mar_1_2010
Pretty Shot Joel,.... But the words make me sad.
ReplyDeleteMakes You stop and think,
I don't think anything should have to live in a cage, especially
a bird that is meant to be free and can fly .
Just my opinion~!!!
