Images & Words - Antiques & All Things Old # 65

Welcome back to another week of Images & Words.Good to be back after 3 weeks of a very hectic work and life schedule. Thanks again Amy for switching weeks with me.Our topic this week is Antiques and all things old. I took my shot last month while out looking for covered bridges. While we were hiking back to one of the bridges we came across this old outdoor church. While having an eerie feel to it ,for some reason it also felt calming too.

The Rules:

Each week we will post an original photo with words on it. The idea behind this group is to expand our minds through our photography.

Photos must be your own, but the words can be someone else's as long as credit is given after the words.

Your post can either be serious, or if you'd like comical, but never obscene .

Posts can either have one word on them, quotes, or full poems ... Your choice.

All posts are to be done on your own site in a blog form with a link back to it being left here.

New topics will be posted on Sundays.

Posts can be made through Saturday.

One post per person only please.

  5. This is so inspiring, Joel. How many people of today would sit upon benches in the woods to hear the gospel ?

The subject you chose for your photo and the words of Mr. Beecher are an uplifting combination!

  6. Hi Joel! I love the theme. I've never seen an outdoor church either, except for the "big tent revivals" that you see across America occasionally. I love your photo and the words are wonderful! it makes me think of the movie "Oh Brother, Where Art Thou."

I love the old fashioned sepia coloring, too! very nice work!

  10. Beautiful photo! It looks like a wonderful place to worship. Is it an old Bible camp or something?

For this theme I should go back to some photos that I took this spring but didn't have time to really look at, so it might be a little while before I post. Be back soon!

I apologise to my friends who have seen this photo taken in a very secluded spot not many know about. It's now a preserve.

Husband and I knocked some things out, got to play a bit... he went chin down to chest snoring on the screen porch, I cleaned the kitchen from a fabulous dinner we actually ate together and I promise I'll be around tomorrow if and when everyone elses UNIVERSE does not need my involvement or evolution
