Week 95 Images & Words ~ Something A Bit Different.

                   Hi And

        A Big Welcome To All,

On this warm Sunday evening from my part of the world, Australia.

So much has been happening this week across the globe which has tried and tested many good folks.

To all our Kiwi Cousins and others affected, I would like to express our sympathies for the tragic losses incurred in Christchurch and surrounding areas resulting from the devastating Earthquake and Aftershocks.

This weeks I&W Number 95 is titled

Something A Bit Different.

Basically what I want to see from everyone this week is one of your more unusual photos, a photo of maybe a subject that you would not normally set your sights upon, used as your I&W and then either write a quote for the photo or use one that fits the bill from elsewhere.

The photo I used here is taken of a snake that was sleeping on a limb while it's newly shed skin was hanging there below it.

The subject matter is Not at all in my usual mode of photographic captures however I have stepped out of my comfort zone and used the photo and the quote, which was written by an unknown author, as my choice here this week for the theme.

Have fun and most of all enjoy your I&W theme this week and also take notice that we are in week 95 already and week 100 and our anniversary is creeping up again soon. We will be having a few surprises in store in the coming weeks of I&W so please all keep happy and safe and stay tuned.

Cheers To All

Milli.

The Rules:

Each week we will post an original photo with words on it. The idea behind this group is to expand our minds through our photography.

Photos must be your own, but the words can be someone else's as long as credit is given after the words.

Your post can either be serious, or if you'd like comical, but never obscene .

Posts can either have one word on them, quotes, or full poems ... Your choice.

All posts are to be done on your own site in a blog form with a link back to it being left here.

New topics will be posted on Sundays.

Posts can be made through Saturday.

One post per person only please.

  3. This might be difficult, in that there's very few things I won't photograph!! I don't have a 'comfort zone' per se. If it moves, photograph it!! If it doesn't move....still photograph it!! LOL. Maybe I'll chose something that others might find unusual. Off to think...........

  4. Really cool theme Milli, and eek maybe, but a great and interesting capture with the snake and it's shed skin.

  5. Sure Mitch it is something different to the normal that we see.
I used a snake but even though you will shoot anything at all, there would be something that you would capture that will be different for many of us to see.

  15. Here's my entry for this week:

    http://nikhilpant.multiply.com/journal/item/636/Something_a_bit_different_Images_Words_95

The picture is taken off a video I had shot about 18 to 24 months back when we were having an underground water pump installed in the front yard of our house. In this pic are 3 workers and the foreman (the one with the white cloth wrapped around his head). The reason I posted it was that it wa an unique event for us as we had never experianced it and probably never will more many more years. The whole video was shot in 4 parts due to the limited memory capacity of the camera and I am posting one part of it just now. I'll post the 2nd part from which the photo was taken from as soon as its upoladed.

  21. What a wonderful find and EEK! Words perfectly shed light on the subject!
I found a big black snake by the woodpile sunning itself next to the garden shed while mowing.
I came in and told my teenage son "It's THIS BIG" He didn't believe me. He went out removing
some of the split wood and found it's skin it had just shed. He became a believer.

    off to think...

  26. There is nothing beyond my comfort zone I wouldn't click on but "a grieving moment or a private moment" I still wouldn't infringe on either.

Still thinking, camera is still in my yukon... may be back with something

  27. Hurry back i have been waiting for you.

  28. maybe I'll take you to the chair of horrors... me at my wonderful dentist getting my crown replaced.

Dentist chair is beyond my comfort zone., other than that is driving through Chicago traffic by myself or through the slums of Gary Indiana which use to be the murder capital of the world and being under that bridge with a red light which never changes to green., so I've blown it with people moving in on me and my vehicle.

  29. Wonderful choice for a theme this week, this will allow me to do something I don't normally do.
Have fun Everyone, And be safe doing so.

  36. We have had a few Glitches in the Multiply pond this week and I am sure that they will all work themselves through soon enough.
Yes that is right you laugh little Wilbur froggy you probably sent those ripples out through the pond or was it all those fish in Joel's pond LOL.
I have never seen so many fish in one spot at once.

  37. Do not despair Linda because Multiply does this from time to time and probably by tomorrow it will have fixed itself. I had it happen recently myself whilst on another group outing lol in Multiply. Glitches happen from time to time.

  40. This never got into my Inbox, so only saw it now. It does look like glitches abound on Multiply lately for sure. I have links on my PP going to IW and links on my last IW going to PP ??? Strange. Unless people got confused? Will look for something different now now and post, am at work, early Monday morning and trying to do month end.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Yes there are glitches and looking forward to your Post. When you can do it!

    ReplyDelete
  42. ok...admittedly I am a bit confused here...and yes I am fully aware with the MULTITUDE of problems within the site of late. I have several myself and they are both annoying and frustrating. ANYWAY,,,,,I still can NOT get into mrsrh's link..and lizzy is a PP entry not I&W ?
All these glitches doesn't seem to be affecting the voting for the Readers Choice Award..seems Multiply is out front of FB ( Facebook )

  43. Sorry about that. I know very little about computers. I looked in who all views section and did not see ladycallie anywhere, and in the past even people blocked show up as visiting, they just can't see anything. I have sent a personal message to a friend who helps me with online problems. Maybe she knows the answer. In the mean time, here is my photo:

  44. This morning Multiply even told me that a video I down loaded yesterday did not exist. Clicked another way and it was there. I have had problems with Multiply off and on ever since they did that big upgrade. Lots of my videos are not quality any more, etc.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Great, have not looked at updated pole since I voted. I prefer Multiply over Facebook.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Love that quote! and snakes are amazing creatures although, I must admit, they make me a bit squeamish.
Here is my offering, it's been quite a while since I played along.

  47. I tried an experiment. I logged out of Multiply and went to your post anonymously and got there with no difficulty. Not able to comment though as one must be a member of Multiply to leave comments. Normally when this type situation prevails it is because the viewer is BLOCKED.

  48. I am back with mine. Will check all the entries out tomorrow. For now, good night, sleep tight. Love you all!!
