Images And Words Week 200 - Our Second Century

Welcome and greetings from Sweden!

This week a truly momentous occurance is about to happen. Two hundred weeks and four years ago a group of remarkable individuals started up a site called Images & Words. Through the years the entries posted by the members have been thrilling, interesting and thoroughly enjoyable. I have had a wonderful time ever since I joined this group. Every week it has been exciting to see what my fellow members would come with as regards to the theme. The theme for this week is then...

OUR SECOND CENTURY

You can use anything that refers to the nr 200, perhaps what happened 200 years ago in your country. You can also use the original photo from your very first entry for a new one for this occasion. Im looking forward to view and comment on your entries. Enjoy.
All the Best from Anders

~ The Blogger Address ~

Four years and two hundred weeks ago our foreadmins brought forth on this internet a new site concieved in imagination and dedicated to the proposition that all entries are equally wonderful.
~ o ~
Now we are engaged in a great endevour, testing whether that site so concieved and so dedicated can long endure. We are met in a great web of social networking.
~ o ~
We have come to dedicate a portion of the web as a place to share our photographs in happy communion where members post their contributions so that the site will remain active. It is altogether fitting and proper that we should do this.
~ o ~
And in a larger sense - we can also dedicate - we can consecrate - indeed, we can hollow - this site. The wonderful members, active and inactive, who contribute here, have indeed made it a place of wonder and joy. The world will note for long what we post here and will never forget what we do here.
~ o ~
It is for us, the active, indeed to be dedicated to the wondrous work which the members have posted here and have thus so happily advanced. It is indeed for us to be here dedicated to the great tasks remaining before us.
~ o ~
That from these honoured members, we take increased devotion to the cause for which they give their full measure of imagination.
~ o ~
That we are happily resolved that these members shall be rewarded with praise and happy comments.
~ o ~
That this site on the internet, on Muze and Blogger, will have a new birth of imagination - and that the group of admins, dedicated to a site of the members, by the members and for the members, shall see to it that it does not perish from the web.

The Rules:

Each week we will post an original photo with words on it. The idea behind this group is to expand our minds through our photography.
Photos must be your own, but the words can be someone else's as long as credit is given after the words.
Your post can either be serious, or if you'd like comical, but never obscene .
Posts can either have one word on them, quotes, or full poems ... Your choice.
All posts are to be done on your own site in a blog form with a link back to it being left here. New topics will be posted on Sundays.
Posts can be made through Saturday.
One post per person only please.
