Images & Words - Breathe # 72

Welcome back to another week of Images & Words.Good to be back, this weeks topic is Breathe. Inspired again by a Pink Floyd song from Dark Side Of The Moon.Which is of course playing in the background as I type this blog. I told my daughter the other day listening to Dark Side Of The Moon is like visiting an old friend. I am sure we all have music that we never tire of this is one of many for me. This song says it all for me. I know there are days in all our lives when we just need to escape the day and just Breathe it in. Hope this isn't a tough  topic if it is just sit back and Breathe. Okay the time has come this blog is over thought I'd something more to say.

The Rules:

Each week we will post an original photo with words on it. The idea behind this group is to expand our minds through our photography.

Photos must be your own, but the words can be someone else's as long as credit is given after the words.

Your post can either be serious, or if you'd like comical, but never obscene .

Posts can either have one word on them, quotes, or full poems ... Your choice.

All posts are to be done on your own site in a blog form with a link back to it being left here.

New topics will be posted on Sundays.

Posts can be made through Saturday.

One post per person only please.

  1. Hi Joel. I love that album. It's an old friend of mine, too. Takes me back to places and faces I've not seen in many years. Just dropping by to say I won't be taking part this week or for the next couple of weeks. Joanne arrives in a few short hours for a two week visit. I'm just off to the airport to collect her.

  14. Surprise, surprise, not only did I decide to shake the cobwebs out of my head and contribute again after a long long pause, but I see my photo of the River Aare in Solothurn as banner - now that must have been some sort of psychological force.

So here I am. the photo is of our local mountain in the background to our village, and the text from me. You will have to click on the text to be able to read it.

  29. We are kicking around a few things behind the scenes.... but have not ironed anything out yet 100% . We will probably announce them in the next few weeks or so. We are always up for suggestions too.

  30. Beautiful, Beautiful BEEEEEEEaUtiFUL... I actually thought about going with Roger's lyrics too, to this song. Tells you how much I love this! Almost makes me miss W.Virginia and Missouri near the Ozarks. I adore this view. And you captured it amazingly.

  31. I'd like to see you admins contest it, similar to the one held for us. To make it a bit interesting for the members, you could post them unsigned and let us see if we can identify who did them from the styles used.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I'm not big on contests cuz they tend to get political. The ideas that we're kicking around are more collaborative :-)

    ReplyDelete
  33. that's certainly a relief! There are some that thrive on competition...and that's fine, But not what I'm looking for. I love the talent that is displayed among all members because it is a relaxed group......competition tends to take away FUN and add in STRESS. Without competition we are equals....is there something so wrong in that?

    ReplyDelete
  34. I think I may be one of those who thrive on competition. I don't mind not winning or not being in the game even, I can even enjoy watching it. But yes, I agree they tend to get political and for those who don't enjoy the thrill they can take away some of the fun.

Collaborative sounds interesting. That could be fun and a great exercise in combining ideas. I do like the regularly changing banner, i get excited each time it's new.

BTW, the avatar still needs to be changed.
