Images & Words # 155 ----Earth Day

Images & Words
This is Sue hosting and I hope you all enjoy the theme.
Earth Day

My photo is a forest and Lake near Stevens Pass
in Washington State.
And now, the rules....

The Rules:

Each week we will post an original photo with words on it. The idea behind this group is to expand our minds through our photography.

Photos must be your own, but the words can be someone else's as long as credit is given after the words.

Your post can either be serious, or if you'd like comical, but never obscene .

Posts can either have one word on them, quotes, or full poems ... Your choice.

All posts are to be done on your own site in a blog form with a link back to it being left here.

New topics will be posted on Sundays.

Posts can be made through Saturday.

One post per person only please.

Plant a tree for Earth Day I am.

All things are connected

Whatever befalls the Earth,
befalls the sons and daughters of the earth.
Man did not weave the web of life,
he is merely a strand in it.
Whatever he does to the web,
he does to himself.

*Chief Seattle*

As you know "Earth Day" is April 22, 2012
I thought Earth Day would make a good theme.
Your photo's could be of anything of the earth
Including Tree's, flowers, forests, plants
anything that makes the earth a better place to live.

  3. Hi all a theme very close to my heart as I spent much of my career working in Environmental Management, in particular as an Oceanographer working on the protection of our oceans, Rachel Louise Carson has been a role mode for me, I am pleased to take a quote from her work this week;)

  13. Hi Sue, I am back from my whirlwind trip. Seen so much and been so far away and I will post again as soon as I am settled.
I have to say that the theme is a great one. Your photo is so beautiful that it makes me feel so glad that I am alive and experiencing all that our precious Earth has on offer. I can not bear to think that future generations might not enjoy all that we take for granted.
I think that your Great Quote by Chief Seattle is most poignant and full of wisdom. W are ALL Connected and dependant on each other.
