As these are our last days on Multiply and before we pull the plug fully on our Group
Images and Words On Multiply.
The Posts From M are all here now on Blogger.
The Posts From M are all here now on Blogger.
I would like to thanks those who have made it the success that it most certainly has become.
As the brain child of Joel and with help from Mia, Danni and myself to get the group off the ground and going 186 posts ago it has always been the core of this group it's dedicated members who have made each weekly challenge, interesting, creative and totally enjoyable.
As we have gone through our themes over this time we have had help from guest hosts who all contributed to the enthusiasm and fun this group has become famous for over 186 themes.
Sue, Anders and Myself are now hosting Images and Words on Blogger where we have tried to stay pretty much in the same style as here but with the added addition of our permanent slide-show, as seen above, running permanently in our Blogger Guest Book.
There have been challenges adjusting to a new site but with patience and respect we have remained positive and now have at this time 32 members with a good percentage of these members posting regularly.
As you can see when you enter the post here our Flickr Slide-show shows the extent to which our members are willing to go to make our weekly themes make the best impressions.
Kudos to All Our Members who regularly post their image into our Flickr Group Pool.
Your efforts are much appreciated and give great exposure as a group offering for the world to see.
Plus the talent shown in this Group Pool as a collection from our members shows us all just how much we have advanced over time. A truly fantastic effort indeed.
I would like to thank Anders for gathering up all our posts from here and holding them safely on his site here.
Well done Anders you have made a Beautiful library of our previous creations of Images And Words On Multiply.
Thank You Lewis Carroll For This little poem.
Lyrics from Alice in Wonderland
The Walrus and the Carpenter
The Walrus and the Carpenter
Or, The Story of the Curious Oysters
The Walrus and the Carpenter
Or, The Story of the Curious Oysters
The sun was shining on the sea
Shing with all his might
He did his very best to make
The billows smooth and bright
And this is odd because it was
The middle of the night
Shing with all his might
He did his very best to make
The billows smooth and bright
And this is odd because it was
The middle of the night
The Walrus and the Carpenter
Were walking close at hand
The beach was wide
From side to side
But much too full of sand
Were walking close at hand
The beach was wide
From side to side
But much too full of sand
"Mr. Walrus," said the Carpenter
"My brain begins to perk
We'll sweep this clear in 'alf a year
If you don't mind the work"
"My brain begins to perk
We'll sweep this clear in 'alf a year
If you don't mind the work"
"Work?! The time has come," the Walrus said
"To talk of other things
Of shoes and ships and sealing wax
Of cabbages and kings
And why the sea is boiling hot
And whether pigs have wings
Calloo-Callay
No work today!
We're cabbages and kings"
"To talk of other things
Of shoes and ships and sealing wax
Of cabbages and kings
And why the sea is boiling hot
And whether pigs have wings
Calloo-Callay
No work today!
We're cabbages and kings"
Oh, uh, Oysters, come and walk with us
The day is warm and bright
A pleasant walk
A pleasant talk
Would be a sheer delight
Yes, and should we get hungry on the way
We'll stop and, uh, have a bite?
The day is warm and bright
A pleasant walk
A pleasant talk
Would be a sheer delight
Yes, and should we get hungry on the way
We'll stop and, uh, have a bite?
But Mother Oyster winked her eye
And shook her hairy head
She knew too well
This was no time to leave her Oyster bed
"The sea is nice,
Take my advice
And stay right here," Mum said
And shook her hairy head
She knew too well
This was no time to leave her Oyster bed
"The sea is nice,
Take my advice
And stay right here," Mum said
Yes, yes, of course, of course, but, uh, ha, ha
The time has come, my little friends
To talk of other things
Of shoes and ships and sealing wax
Of cabbages and kings
And why the sea is boilong hot
And whether pigs have wings, ha ha
Callo-Callay
Come, run away
With cabbages and kings!
The time has come, my little friends
To talk of other things
Of shoes and ships and sealing wax
Of cabbages and kings
And why the sea is boilong hot
And whether pigs have wings, ha ha
Callo-Callay
Come, run away
With cabbages and kings!
Well, now, uh, let me see
Ah, a loaf of bread is
What we chiefly need!
Listen, how 'bout some pepper and salt and vinegar, eh?
Well, yes, yes, splendid idea, ha ha!
Very good, indeed
Now, if your ready, Oysters, dear.
We can begin the feed.
Feed?!
Feed?!
Oh, yes, the time has come, my little friends
To talk of food and things
Of peppercorns and mustard seeds
And other seasonings!
We'll mix 'em all together
In a sauce that's fit for kings
Calloo-Callay
We'll eat today
Like cabbages and kings!
To talk of food and things
Of peppercorns and mustard seeds
And other seasonings!
We'll mix 'em all together
In a sauce that's fit for kings
Calloo-Callay
We'll eat today
Like cabbages and kings!
I, uh, weep for you. I (hic), oh excuse me
I deeply sympathise
For I've enjoyed your company, oh much more
Than you realize
Little Oysters? Little Oysters?
I deeply sympathise
For I've enjoyed your company, oh much more
Than you realize
Little Oysters? Little Oysters?
But answer, there came none
And this was scarcely odd because
They'd been eaten
Every one!
And this was scarcely odd because
They'd been eaten
Every one!
With cabbages and kings!
The End!
The End!
Cheers
Now Those of You who are left here...Come Eat and Drink and Be Merry for the success will continue on!!!!
Thanks for allowing me to be part of this group even though I don't always have time to enter or a theme just doesn't click with me. The photo part is usually easy but coming up with words to go with the photo and the theme is the challenge for me. For the last couple of months or more, it's been lack of time on my part to participate.
ReplyDeleteLynda is is our pleasure and your contributions are always beautiful!!
DeleteNot knowing where I'll call home I started a blog just for images and words on Blog Spot. It will stay open and all my images and words from here on Multiply have been added to it. Feel free to stop by and become a follower or what ever that place calls friends/contacts. I stay rather confused over there. Here's the link:

Thanks, Milli and Anders, for keeping alive this fantastic Group that I am so happy to be a member. Without your efforts, Sunday would never be the same as before... Wish loads of success to the Group.
ReplyDeleteThank you Milli, I promise to try and take a more regular part here. I am only going to be writing and taking part in PT and I & W from now on, also will try to take a regular part in Mia's photo site on Facebook. Some awesome guys to learn from there and a lot of them seems to be from Scandinavia, which I find interesting. Maybe some new friends sooon ?
ReplyDeleteAm going to post my seashore a bit later, have been off Internet for 10 days, shuh, got a lot of other work done, you actually have no idea how much time you spend on here, until you cannot get on and have all that extra time for other stuff *grins*
Aww Marianne it is so good to have you back.
DeleteYou know I am thrilled that have chosen this group among others to contribute too regularly.
Sometimes it is a bit of a chore to keep everything going on here as it does take time but having friends and group members like yourself makes it all worth while.
sigh yes sad but through this we learn and we learn and we learn
